EXPERT SYSTEM DIAGNOSE HAMA AND DISEASE OF RED GINGER PALNT USING CERTAINTY FACTOR METHOD

Abstract


Red ginger plants which grow in Indonesia have efficacious efficacy and minimal side effects. Red ginger is often used for cooking spices, processed foods and medicines. Because it has many benefits, the demand of the red ginger in domestic and abroad is very high. However, the quality and the quantity of red ginger production is strongly influenced by sufficient knowledge about the care and risks from diseases and pests that can attack the red ginger. This is very important for success in cultivating red ginger plants. Therefore expert system is needed to analyze pests and diseases in red ginger plants. The use of Certainty Factor method is a right method to measure the certainty of the disease that occurs in red ginger plants. This application aims to facilitate farmers in analyzing and viewing information from symptoms of the disease. From the results of testing, it showed that the application is feasible and can be used.
